I began this blog 4 years ago, today its getting a refresh and much needed update. This page in particular, I wrote in 2016. A lot has changed since then.
When I started Pursuit of My Truth, I was living in Italy. The blog became my outlet, and documented a journey of self discovery, healing and growth.
Today, I am living in Vancouver. I finally have a home to call my own, and a stability that has allowed me to flourish in my new life.
I believe wholeheartedly in the lessons I learned during my time in Italy, they are what allowed me to break old unhealthy patterns, and choose a new life. But new beginnings also take some getting used to. There’s always more to learn. I had to learn to be accepting of happiness, of having someone who is reliable, and supports me. It’s all part of the journey!
For the last couple years, as I settled into my new life, this space was unapproachable for me. It was a representation of a difficult, yet beautiful time in my life. After returning from Italy, I tried to continue writing here, but my posts, were sparse and sporadic. It just didn’t feel right. Finally, I’ve come to realize, its because I’ve changed.
I always want to hold space for what I created here 4 years ago. But I’ve learned that it’s ok to give it a refresh. My site should be a reflection of me, past and present. As we continue to grow and evolve, we will always be In Pursuit of our Truths.
In this spirit, I’m leaving some of what I wrote “About” me 3 years ago below.

(a small update I wrote when I was 30, noticing that I hadn’t changed that particular information since starting the blog at 29)
I’m still getting to know my ‘Self’, and what I’m all about. I love writing, it’s always been my therapy, and I express myself best with the written word. I have always written personally and kept a journal, but I’m new to blogging.
Travel is also a passion of mine. I love getting lost in the world, and hate the idea of only experiencing life in one place when there is a whole wide world out there to discover and experience. Different cultures, perceptions, ideas, different ways of life – that is what interests me to no end.
I felt that it was time to share my stories; my travels, my journey of self discovery and healing. I am inspired everyday through the eloquence, beauty and humor that is writing. I love finding pieces of myself in what others have written of their experiences, be it emotionally, spiritually, politically, or on travelling adventures.
This blog is my way of giving back; I believe in the sharing of stories and inspiring each other.
“I believe in the sharing of stories and inspiring each other.” Yes! Same here!
